Mani walls of Phu

Phu village (4060m) is just few hours of walk from Tibetan border and three days walk from the first simple Nepali road.
This mani wall (with stone-carved mantras, mostly "om mani padme hung") is above Tashi Lhakhang gompa, where only one last nun lives now and few locals are visiting her. Their rinpoche passed away about ten years ago and they haven't found his incarnation yet, so this Kagyu monastery is empty now. The last nun is making pujas every evening, but is also planning to leave to Kathmandu monastery, since the winters are very hard here. Who knows what will happen with the place in year or two..... I'm happy we could visit it and get blessing. Quite nice atmosphere. In contrast to Phu village itself, which only looks nice from outside.... Bring your tents and food.
